Cancellation policies

We will refund you if you cancel your reservation up to 5 days before your trip;

To cancel: You must place an order via email to aldeiacotijuba@gmail.com and we will process the cancellation. A 2% fee will be charged on the amount paid to cover online transaction fees;

Cancellation requests for reservations made less than 24 hours before the start of the stay can be canceled "only" if check-in time has not started at 12:00 pm, otherwise a 50% fee will be charged;

How do I change my reservation?

Reservations can be changed up to 5 days before your trip. To receive instructions on how to change your reservation, send an email with your change request within the deadline to aldeiacotijuba@gmail.com! You will receive instructions on how to change your reservation.

How to book?

Reservations must be made online, and 50% of the total cost of your stay is charged upon confirmation, without any intervention from our agents. You can choose to pay by card or PIX via online QR Code.

After booking, wait for the pre-booking email. Once payment has been confirmed by the operators, your reservation will be confirmed via the email address provided at the time of booking. If you do not receive the booking confirmation email, please contact aldeiacotijuba@gmail.com. Alternatively, you can book through platforms like Airbnb and Booking.com. Remember, our website offers up to 20% savings! :) The inn accepts cash, Pix, or card payments.

Check-in and check-out times

Check-in is from 12pm and check-out is at 10am;

If you arrive early, we can store your belongings. You can also store your belongings with us and continue using the guesthouse's common areas after checking out.

In case of non-compliance with the timetable; For every hour beyond the check-out time, a fine of half the daily rate will be charged to the accommodation account.

Coffee included and

Coffee can be included or not, you choose when making the reservation only through the website; On other platforms, coffee is not sold included. The included breakfast is served through a form where the guest fills out and chooses up to 2 items to drink and up to 2 items to eat.

The breakfast menu for those who don't include it at the time of purchase is super affordable and is served exclusively to guests. Breakfast starts at 7:40 a.m. and ends at 10:00 a.m.

Rules of coexistence

If you're going to listen to music, please keep it at a volume that's acceptable for your environment. Remember, we have a common area, the restaurant, and the beach deck, for this purpose. Remember, after 10 p.m., no noise is permitted in the guesthouse. Please don't insist. "Your rights end where others' begin."

Loss of objects or damage

In the event of loss of items such as keys or remote controls, or damage, a fee will be charged depending on the replacement value. Whether it's a lock or an electronic device.

Bed linen and towels

All our linens are carefully prepared and arranged for your arrival. Please take the same care we give you. Towels are not allowed to be brought to the beach. In the event of stains or damage to towels or bed linen, a cleaning fee will be charged. If the towels or bed linen are unusable, you will be charged for a new towel or bed linen.

Lost and found

We have a lost and found department. Just email aldeiacotijuba@gmail.com for more information. We store items for up to 90 days; after that, the item is donated or discarded.

We take great care of everything to welcome you. The accommodation is carefully considered down to the smallest detail. Maid service is only provided for stays of more than 48 hours.

Restaurant Hours / Can I bring food/drinks or a cooler?

The inn's restaurant is open Thursday through Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays. You can eat in your accommodations, but be careful not to leave food on the balconies or in your room. We are in a forest; consumption is not permitted in the common areas or on the decks. We have no space to store our guests' food or drinks, so please do not insist. All accommodations in the Village have a 40L minibar. Consumption of beverages other than those from the restaurant is prohibited in the inn's common areas or on the decks. Coolers are not permitted on the restaurant decks. We only offer a corkage service for wines and spirits.

Breakfast is sold only to guests via menu or can be included at a discounted rate when purchasing your stay.

Should minors be accompanied by their parents?

Yes, minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians to stay at the inn. Can I travel with my nephew? Yes, as long as there is authorization from their parents or legal guardians. The authorization must be signed by the parents or legal guardians and notarized. It must include the check-in and check-out dates, the reason for the stay, and the parents' contact phone numbers. Documents must be presented at check-in. Minors must present a birth certificate and authorization in these cases.

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, we accept pets.

However, it is necessary to present a certificate of the V10 and Leish-tec vaccinations for leishmaniasis;


It is imperative that your pet is vaccinated with Leish-tec;


Pets should never be left alone in the accommodations. Only medium-sized pets are accepted. Pets may be off-leash in the guesthouse's common areas if they are sociable and friendly. Because there are other pets in the area, your pet needs to be socialized and accustomed to other pets. A R$50 fee is charged for room cleaning after your stay. Pets are strictly prohibited from climbing, staying, or sleeping on the beds. A fine equal to the daily rate will be applied if the bed linens or mattress smell like animals. All accommodations with pets are inspected at the end of the reservation. Each reservation is limited to one pet, not two.

  • Booking confirmations

    Reservation confirmations are sent to the email address provided at the time of purchase. If you don't find your confirmation after payment, check your SPAM folder. If you still can't find it, please contact us on the day of purchase. NOTE: Don't wait to confirm your reservation on the day of travel. Confirmation will be sent via email on the day of purchase. If you can't find your confirmation, please email aldeiacotijuba@gmail.com.

  • There are 4 of us, can we stay in the suite?

    In suites, the limit is also three people (double bed, single bed, and a hammock). In suites, a fourth person is only allowed for families with children up to 10 years old. For children over 10 years old, the fourth person pays a daily fee of $70. The fourth person must bring a hammock.

  • Do the bungalows have bathrooms?

    All AldeiA accommodations have private bathrooms. Bungalows only have a shower located below the building. All accommodations also feature central air conditioning, a Smart TV, and Wi-Fi for guests.

  • Can I bring my pet?

    Yes, we do accept pets. However, they must present a V10 and Leish-tec vaccination certificate for leishmaniasis; unfortunately, the disease is endemic to Cotijuba Island. It is recommended that pets be vaccinated and wear a repellent collar. Pets are also not allowed in the restaurant area or roam freely around the inn.

  • Why can't I ever get a job?

    We only have 10 accommodations, so reservations for Saturdays, holidays, or weekends must be made well in advance. We only close on Wednesdays, meaning we have other days available besides the weekend. Here on the website, you can quickly check our availability and get better prices than Airbnb or Booking. Stay tuned, we're constantly rescheduling and new vacancies appear on the website. Green indicates vacancies, gray indicates no vacancies. Our restaurant opens to the public at 10 a.m. If you can't find a spot, come spend the day with us. Our restaurant has a full bathroom for our guests. We're only closed on Wednesdays. Come and discover our beach.

  • Can I bring food into the accommodation?

    You can eat and drink inside the accommodations. We recommend not leaving any food on the balcony or in your room. Remember, we're in the middle of the forest, and any leftover food can attract various creatures. You can't eat or drink non-restaurant products inside or on the restaurant decks.

  • Can I bring my cooler?

    You can bring your own drinks to enjoy on the beach or in your room. Not in the indoor areas or on the restaurant decks. We have corkage for wines and spirits.

  • Can you chill some wine for me?

    All accommodations have a 40L minibar; We provide corkage service with glasses and an ice bucket in the restaurant; Costs $30 per bottle;

  • Can you save food for me?

    Unfortunately, we don't have space in our freezers. The rooms don't have minibars. For newborns, we make an exception and can store and heat baby food!

  • What time is the boat?

    Boats leave hourly from 7 a.m.; at 9 a.m. every day, there's the city's boat, the Geladão, which is different from the "po po po" that leaves hourly. At 5 p.m., it returns from the island for those who want a round trip, and the trip takes 20 minutes.

  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT Check-in is from 12 p.m. and check-out is at 10 a.m. If you arrive earlier or want to leave later, we can store your things and you can continue using the inn's common areas and facilities for the day. The last boat leaves every day at 5 p.m.

  • Can 3 people fit in the bungalows or chalets?

    Yes. In addition to the double bed, these accommodations have a hammock stand. However, this is the limit. No more than three people can stay in these accommodations.

  • Opening hours

    We're open every day except Wednesdays, the only day of the week we're closed. The restaurant opens to the public at 10:00 AM and closes at 10:00 PM. You can find the menu here on the website. Breakfast is sold and served only to guests. It's served from 7:40 AM to 10:00 AM.

  • Do you accept credit card installments?

    Unfortunately, due to high interest rates, we cannot offer installments.

  • Are all the bungalows beachfront?

    No, only beach bungalow 1 and bungalow 1 are directly facing the beach.

  • Village Luggage Storage

    We have a luggage storage area for guests only. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate visitors.

  • Sound box

    Noise is prohibited in the guesthouse's indoor areas. You can listen to your music on the beach or in your room at a volume that doesn't disturb your neighbors who have come to relax.
